The Center for Dermatology & Skin

The Center for Dermatology & Skin has several locations in Tampa. The locations include:
North Tampa, South Tampa, Hudson, New Port Richey, Spring Hill, Wesley Chapel, and Riverview. These many locations makes it possible for those who need skin surgery, or just cosmetic procedures to get the services they need. There are many doctors, along with medical assistants, and nurse practitioners that work at The Center for Dermatology & Skin. Dr. Sandy Martin, is one of the most interesting employers. Dr. Martin is part of the National Honor Medical Society and he has helped with the study for fighting cancer. His educational background is very inspiring, because it demonstrates that you can accomplish everything you want, to get you were you want to be. He demonstrates hard work, and he not only works, but is into research and organizations. He started at the University of Miami’s School or Arts and Science. He then attended Medical School in Miami, along with receiving a doctorate degree in Medicine. He also went to law school and graduated suma cum laude. He has two decades of dermatology experience.

His main focus is skin cancer and skin that has been damaged from the sun. His job is interesting because he deals with one of the biggest problems in Florida, which is caused from the sun. He is more interested in the cosmetic aspect of dermatology instead of medical and surgical dermatology. Dr. Martin specializes in tattoo removal, botox, face rejuvenations, rosacea, and sun damage treatments.

The purpose of this company is to help individuals have confidence about their skin. The Center for Dermatology & Skin wants to help those with skin cancer along with helping those just want healthy glowing skin, or to look and feel younger.

  1. I think that employer would be beneficial, especially working in Florida where skin related problems due to the sun are prevalent. I feel as though this profession will also be relevant to us a nation because everyone has become so self conscious and more consumed with our looks. While you and I both sort of ventured off and went with jobs that are a little more on the individualized side, they both are important to public health, because they address issues with health. Our two employers do differ in that Walgreens (my employer) is a more entry level position, while extensive and continued education is required for the center for dermatology and skin. Maybe someone could work as a pharmacy technician while still in school.
